I find it interesting, apart from the fact he's the author. It's weird as fuck, and funny, and I like it a lot.
He could easily become a painter - but that wouldn't be enough for him, he couldn't spend most of his time sitting still.
Maybe he should have added the comment with his own handwriting instead of that flat font.
As a painting reflects the painter's inner universe, you can wonder what Dave is on these days.:D No, just kidding. It's great stuff to me, and that's it.
Well done, Mr Roth!
I'm curious as to the medium of the original. The text added is digital but what was the drawing created on/with..?
The background was painted on canvas I think, and the foreground characters seem to have been drawn on paper or something, then stuck on the canvas. Just IMHO.
Dave says, "Wash Hands. Avoid skin conditions."
I like his latest art dabbles. I'd put one up on the wall.
Haven't connected the dots with his fascination of drawing frog characters...
Maybe El Roth digs on some Disney.

real sweet. amazing work.

Watched that when it aired. I think it's really cool work. My wife made fun of the face that he looks kinda, shaggy...but I told her to give it a break. I'm pretty shaggy these days...locked up in our house with no social life. I've had three different mustaches from pure boredom (and I NEVER grow mustaches).
I wouldn't like this to turn into a hair thread, but what style did you experiment? Tom Selleck/Magnum? D'Artagnan?:D
Dave takes a shot at Hagar?

just a coincidence, I'm sure
Can somebody decipher that for me?
Is Dave as tired as I am, of self serving Clichegar spouting off about Ed?
Poor Dave. I'm sure the BIG WET STINKY PUSSY Bertt will now ban him from the Links for disparaging the Round Rocker.
I see Brentt closed the thread on this at the Links.
Wondered the same thing... my best guess...
Hagar made a claim early on in the pandemic about some bullshit of putting his life on the line to perform his music... https://www.iheartradio.ca/news/samm...ife-1.12788742
I'm guessing Dave caught that in the media and started art work... months later Dave drew a picture and called it news...
Supposedly it's because of what Clichegar said about Dave in the Eddie Trunk interview. I didn't listen to it, just saw the quote. Don't remember exactly what he said about Dave.
We're not the only ones reading the tea leaves...

Supposedly, Clichegar offered to buy it from Dave. Seems Clichegar has a much better sense of humor than the BIG WET STINKY PUSSY Emporer Bertt.
I can't think, I'm dancing.
I think D-Ro needs to upgrade his space craft...
I wonder if Dave is dumb enough to take a vaccine over this silly virus scam? He's highly intelligent yet seems fooled by the global hysteria.
Regarding the prior drawing: I would like to see someone ask about his apparent obsession with frogs. In the bottom corner he has his frog....an apparent Japanese-monk and what appears to be a mutant cat.
Maybe that's what happens to fools who take the vaccine to protect against the "killer virus".
Right-O.
Been following several posts of Dave on Facebook... he's got a story thing going. You can check it all out at davidleeroth.com
Not really sure what to think of it all... the drawings are cool... dialog is out there... things that make you go... hmmmmm..?
Hello, I am new to the forum and very glad to see this thread about David´s artwork. I recently went through all of his drawings on his Twitter account, they are just awesome.
I also recognised an inspiration from Japan in his artwork. This is where the FROGS come in. Frogs in Japanese artwork are often related to martial art.
Davids frogs are also similar to the way frogs are depicted in Japanese scrolls. A famous motive is "The Battle of Frogs", where they are fighting each other, as here:
