  • Post Editing Time Limit Request

    I have a request.

Can we extend the time limit on editing new posts?

I can understand management (well, no I can't but that is beside the point) wanting to prevent us from editing our posts, but can we have say, an hour?

I am sort of a spelling Nazi. I will go over my posts numerous times before posting, but sometimes stuff still escapes my notice. And when I am posting on other threads and stuff, I may not discover my spelling or grammar error until 25-30 minutes after I post.

If we are going to be forced to have a time limit on editing our posts, can we at least have an hour instead of 20 minutes during which we can go back and make corrections?

This request has been brought to you by Goobers, makers of fine idiocy everywhere.

I like the way it is and you can allways request'e a Mod to correct any spleling..... Lounge (PHD..in Hugositty World Brain(insert CR thingy) ), is great for that,,, he has been my secretary for years now, (shoes never match his skirt though) he loves to critique my spelling.

( ppor fella needs something to do...chin up little guy...just love the little guy...)

Spell checker is irrelevant when, say, I am going to use the word "too" as in "also" and I put the word "to" in there instead. Spell check won't catch it.

How hard is it to change the time limit to an hour? And why is it so difficult for anyone to decide to do it? Is there some horrifyingly dull reason why it is impossible to change it?

Is the Roth Army website going to disappear in a puff of smoke if it is changed? Will the Earth stop spinning? Will Van Halen hire an army of lawyers to shut the site down?

Thanks man. Surely it is not a major thing, and I hate to be a squeaky wheel about it. Just 20 minutes seemed a tad too short a time, that's all. Now if I don't catch my idiot spelling errors for 60 minutes, well, my tough shit.

                depends who does it...

Hey gang, the reason why I had this set to such a low number is that people would post something in anger.. then go back and edit their post when they cooled down.
We had people constantly doing that when this place was less PC..
