  • Anyone have any of these old DLR things? (needed for research)

Anyone have any of these things:

    - Joe Piscopo video/performance where he mocks DLR
    - The Dave TV webcasts from 1998
    - The Boston radio test shows from 2005
    - Links or contacts to who the "TK" from the old DLR website are

    Needed for research. Seriously.

I'll pay or barter or whatever is needed.

The Piscopo "so I can make love to me" lol was finally posted on YouTube a year or 2 ago:

This is uploaded from my personal VHS copy that my family recorded off HBO in 1987. Maaaaan, my brother and wore this tape out. We thought it was so funny......

I have the Dave TVs on CD

Did you mean the '06 radio shows? I have some of those and there are links on this site I believe with more.

Nothing with The Keepers. PM me if there is anything I can do to help.

Actually, if you need to contact me, please e-mail me at dfvh5150@comcast.net because I'm not on here that often and not sure if I'll get an e-mail notification.

        We got 'em.

I was never able to get access to the ratings books. THAT I would like to see.

Cool. Wasn't he doing better than the other Stern replacements (Carolla and Ope/Anthony or whoever the third one was)?

Hadn't seen (or even heard about) the Piscopo thing before. Probably because by the time 1987 rolled around, Piscopo was well into his post-SNL steroid binge: I found that while I had liked Piscopo on SNL almost as much as Eddie Murphy circa 1980-1984, once Piscopo left SNL he devolved into this one-note obnoxiously unfunny comedy style. Thus, even if back in 1987 I had been aware said Piscopo comedy special was airing, I wouldn't have watched it.

But, yeah, I thought the Piscopo Roth bit was amusing...thanks for the link!

I don't know. Rover's Morning Glory is still on the air here and (had to Google) in 13 other markets. Carolla now does podcasts and O&A weren't a Stern replacement, they replaced DLR.

If you mix cocaine and steroids you become Joe Piscopo in the mid 80’s.

Dan Akroyd said they used cocaine on SNL like how regular people used coffee. Coke was everywhere and everyone was coked up. Pretty much explains why the show was what it was. A coked up John Belushi thinking he was a samurai in a delicatessen chopping the hell out of shit and going crazy.
