they played that song only a few times on the tour(first 2~3 shows) as far as I know.
This was the second night of the world tour at an ice rink in England, I saw them the night before in Glasgow when they also did It's Showtime.
I thought Holmes struggled especially on the Vai stuff...
I was there its 200 yards from my house :)
I remember they fluffed a song and dave made them start it again , you know i might have said showtime . But when it happen just for a second daves fun time dave mask slipped a bit and he didnt look happy.
I saw Joe Holmes play with Ozzy and thought he was great....

Rexx was sacked not long into the tour and they just went to 1 guitar. Roth mentions in his book about a band member turning around and asking for more money during a tour and I assumed it was Rexx. I also assume that is a silly stage name and his real name is something like Nigel or Kevin. :)
Rexx was the singer/guitarist in a band called D'Molls who brought out albums in 1988/1990.

Having never heard the album its hard to really pitch in but strongest album in rock .....mmmmmmm at least they didnt get big headed , least he said one of :)
So this is the opening track on one of the strongest rock albums ever.

Cool. One of my favorite tunes from ALAE.
Becker brought it and Drop it in the Bucket IMHO the two best songs on the album although I'm guessing Roth wrote the vocal melodies.
It does again make you wonder what Becker could have come up with if he hadn't been smitten with ALS, he was far more than just a shredder.
Plus even on the 1991 tour, no offence to Holmes but that could have been something to see.
I think he would have done to the VH/Vai what Jake E Lee did to Randy Rhodes stuff in Ozzy, making it his own. Not always better but interesting and great.
Even now after all these years I can still be amazed by the incredible stupidity of YouTube comments...

One of my buds saw Dave in Bern, Switerland in '91, he told me he saw him come up on stage and start yelling in his mike, but it wasn't working. He turned mad within a second, turned round and threw it away full blast, maybe towards the soundcheck.Quote:
