Summer shows

[So this is love]

I haven't seen a thread on your outings this summer, if there is one already please forgive me....I would like to hear your stories about show that you attended this summer.

I can't even mention all the bands, artists that I saw performing because some are not even worth mentioning... in short the best show I had the chance to attend this summer and I say this because it has been a long time since I had a good time at a live show like this weekend in downtown Miami. I had the chance to attend the Our lady peace/Bush/Live concert. I must say Bush was the best band that night and Our lady peace came 2nd even as the opener.

Bush is the best band that I have seen performing in a long time, it was downtown Miami outdoor and it was a hot summer night perfect for rock and roll.

A lady’s Bush is always nice. I don’t buy the peace bullshit but who cares about her politics when you just want to check her oil with your dip stick.

Stones, Dan Baird and Homemade Sin, and the bird and the bee. All in 8 days. Last two in the same little room, Beachland Tavern.

Dan Baird was really good, set heavy on Georgia Satellites stuff and his new album, Screamer.

There are local bands playing here by the beach once a week. Saw a local cover band a few weeks ago. Not bad, too much Tom Petty though.

We're going to some other chick singer/songwriter thing in a few weeks and maybe a Floyd tribute band at the House Of Blues.

There's also an open mic night at a little place a couple blocks away. I haven't gone yet, but will check it out soon. Usually they get 3 songs/15 minutes per act.
