I think he chattered too much at Red Rock's. And I love Dave's chatter !! To much during the songs. This was better.
Last night in Chicago. We all saw something on the ground and decided to hold hands and look at it together. A photo posted by Wolf Van Halen (@wolfvanhalen) on Jul 25, 2015 at 7:36pm PDT
I would pay $35 to have a couple of beers and here that story and song alone. If that doesn't put a smile on your face and remind you of the Van Halen swagger of yesteryear, I don"t know what would.
That locking arms and going in a circle is corny as guck and cool as fuck at the same time because of who's doing it.
That was a great ICM story. Never heard that one before. I liked Dave's front row seat to Ed's solo. Greatest love-hate relationship in the history of love-hate relationships right there boy.
Some killer pics in this thread.
That's the raconteur Dave that we all love and miss. Better here, than the dog stories, more interesting than suburbs with streets named after the trees they ripped out and worlds away from Sammy Cheez Wiz and his dancing clown carnival of bad cocktails, goat beards and circle jerks.
He reminds us in the story of 1984 Dave; now he has every right to look back (at himself) and remind us just how fucking cool he is.

Apart from some struggling here and there with his voice at the age of 60 this Dave is the best Dave one could imagine.
He's full aware that everyone is checking the YouTubes and varies the stories, surprises with new jokes and makes every night a special night.
To all you kids at the starting line: watch and learn! This is a legend at work and you can't work a crowd better than this man!

I love it. Static setlist, but not a static show. Well done Dave.
I was listening to the Tinley Park bootleg in the car. Much more enjoyable than Tokyo Dome in Concert. I don't know if Dave's voice is technically better, but it sounds more comfortable. With the exception of DTNA. It seems more like his voice is strained because he's straining, not because he's experimenting. Does that make sense?
