    Pete Way RIP

Rock legend Pete Way passed away Friday at age 69 after complications from a recent accident. He was a hero of mine as bass player in classic lineup of UFO + Fastway, Waysted and his solo band.

He co-wrote music on many UFO hits including "Only You Can Rock Me" and "Lights Out". I got to hang out with him on several occasions and he was always friendly and enjoyed his fans.

His autobiography Fast Ride Out of Here is a good read about the ups and downs of a wild rock n roll lifestyle. Maybe his unreleased solo LP with Slash etc will finally come out.

He is 3rd UFO alum, (with Paul Raymond and Paul Chapman) to go in the last year and is survived by his wife Jenny and 2 kids. RIP

Musician Pete Way - famed for being a bass player in the band UFO - has died today after suffering “life threatening injuries” in an accident earlier this summer
