My first concert was 1984 in Montreal. As someone else mentioned there's a good boot of it. It was the day after Montreal eliminated the Quebec Nordiques from the playoffs and Dave came out with a Habs jersey late in the show. Crowd went bananas.

    2007 reunion tour in Toronto.
Last month saw them in Ottawa.

Seen Dave on the Skyscraper tour and also about 10 years ago at Casino Rama near Toronto.
    Stay Frosty, muthas!

I saw them in hampton, va for the 80, 81, and 82 tours and richmond, va for the 84 tour. It's a tough call for best show between the 80 and 81 tour...they were just "on fire". 84 show just didnt have the same magic as the other tours. There were a lot of young kids in the audience (prolly because of the success of Jump), and the show just seemed "more safe" compared to previous tours.

It does the soul good to confess so here it goes. My brother took me to my first concert. March 20, 1979. KISS on the Dynasty tour. I was only 11 years old! Been a huge live music fan ever since. Fast forward to February 10, 1984. Van Halen with Autograph is playing Knoxville, TN where I live. I, in my young and very dumb days, go to a stupid high school basketball homecoming dance instead of seeing the best fucking band on the planet! Did I get laid? No...that might make it worth it. But first base counts a little I guess when you're only 16. Over the next twenty some odd years, I saw them with Bette on the 5150 tour (May, 1986), twice on the OU812 (Monsters of Rock and Knoxville, TN), several times in Nashville, and in 1998 with Gary Cherone. Musically, one of the best shows I've seen. Little side note. Drove to Nashville from Knoxville without tickets. Hoping to scalp some. Went to the ticketmaster window at the old Starwood. I asked if they'd release any seats and what the best she had. She said "how about the front row?" I said c'mon lady, I just drove three hours and we still need to find a room. She said she wasn't kidding and so we got FRONT ROW seats on Eddie's side for face value. Eddie handed me his cigarette that night. Very cool now that I relived it! lol! Saw them in Greensboro with Spammy in 2004, but as we all know, that tour was a DISASTER from the start.

I kicked myself in the ass for years...hoping beyond hope that they'd reunite and I finally got to see them with Dave three times on the reunion tour. Charlotte, Atlanta, and Gwinnett Center (outside of Atlanta). Saw them opening night in Louisville and will see in June in Phoenix with my brother. Thanks for letting me share...BTW...I think the chick from high school that I took to the dance recently "switched teams" so I could REALLY kick myself in the ass now! lol! Hopefully, one of these years, they'll be some pro shot shit of the '84 tour. I could sure use some vindication!!

Unfortunately I wasn't old enough to enjoy the Mighty Van Halen back in the glorious 80's. Saw Dave on eat em, skyscraper, little aint enough, dlr band tour x2, and drove all the way from Long Island to friggin Syracuse to see Roth with the spamburgler only to find out the show was cancelled. 5 Dave solo shows, 6 re-incarnation of Van Halen...07-08 and 2012 tour, and one show with shithead in 1991. Try not to hold it against me...my buddy won tix on the radio and we went to see Alice In Chains open up.

I'm guessing you're probably going to get more votes for:

    1978 World Tour
    1979 World Vacation Tour
    1980 World Invansion
    1981 Fair Warning Tour
    1982 Hide Your Sheep Tour
    1984 1984 Tour
My karma just ran over your dogma.

Maybe you are right but if I had too choose from those tours you've mentioned I would go for.....pfff mmmm...1981 FAIR WARNING tour!!!

But ok, we will do that one later, now I wanna know which 'reunion' tour people like most, I still have to find out myself .......but think I like the 2012 shows a little

more because of the new songs and the setlist!!

I love the VH II songs and they are changin' the setlist once in a while. Got also the feeling that Wolf is more relaxed and really having fun on stage!!

I have never seen them live. But I maybe hope to see them someday. I'm not sure if I want to or not. It's tempting but dangerous at the same time. You never know if you're gonna be disappointed. Maybe it's just better not to see anybody and live with some kind of illusion and be happy.

They aren't even booked for Europe. And Sweden is even more impossible since we're waaay up north, totally isolated.

No. You will not be disappointed with 2012/2013 VH. If they're anywhere near you, go. Go often!

What do you remember, if anything, about that 2003 Sayreville, NJ, show? I was there, too. At the time, I hadn't seen DLR live in concert since the late 80s. I don't know if it was because of the long wait in between or what, but I thought he sounded great that night in 2003.

You'll have to exhibit patience. The person you are asking last logged on in April 2013. If he's not back in 5 minutes, just wait longer.

I thought the show was great. I went with my girlfriend and and whole bunch of friends, my brother and a big group of his crew. We hung on the lower left bar....left of the stage when looking at the stage........drank so much.....what a night....His band was Brian, Toshi, Lomenzo, and Ray. What was cool about that show is they actually performed California Girls.......that was the only time I saw him do that in the 2000's with his solo band....

To add to my list above I can add..... 2012 at MSG......

Fuck, I wish I was at that. No excuse, other than my first girl was born and I wasn't going anywhere. And I lived in Matawan at the time. Friggin' ten minutes away.
