Do you guys remember when do you listened Van Halen for the first time, it was during a party ,a concert,a record 's store?

1978 on a french radio call europe1. it was you really got me. i was in my bedroom, i was a kid, i was with my brother.we tought the name was VANLALEN.

at my friend Marty's house 1981. I was 10. He had a 2 older brothers, his brother Bob told us to listen to some good music and gave us VH. After 1 play of RWTD, Eruption, YRGM, ATBL etc, etc. I was hooked!


other than that, havent done much else in the 23 years since....

naturally i only knew songs like "jump" and "panama", and their wild videos.

we never had mtv when i was a kid and they didn't show much music videos in the finnish tv...

all i remember for sure was buying I in my small hometown when i was 13-14...then it took a few weeks before i started really getting into it.

i did have a david lee roth-poster in my collection for years before i really knew the band! right next to twisted sister, wasp and kiss...

For myself i discovered VH in a Skatepark,i was skateboarding and an american guy was listening some VH while ridding back in summer 1978. After that moment i was thinking,listening,sleeping,fucking,partying,drink ing,dreaming........Van halen!Until 1985!End of the story!
