The first time i watched it i also was a little disappointed. Mainly because it did not have any vintage video's of the early concerts. But after seeing it a few times it really starts to grow on you..now i watch it about once a month usually after a night of drinking. One of the best parts is Mike's old band mate from "SNAKE"..dude that guy is funny as shit. Remember that any old Van Halen is good Van Halen....my friend try playing it a couple of times it will enter your sole.

They couldn't throw the music on there for legal reasons since Ed's ass is sitting on all that shit. Or he got drunk one night and forgot where he put the stuff. Whatever.

There's lots of previously unseen interviews with people close to the band. Most of the stuff does focus on the early days, alot more than just the PA stuff. Tons more stuff than the Sammy/Dave life after VH VH1 deal. This is not somethign I'd shell out $50 for but I got it for 10 plus shipping. At that price I'd highly recommend it.

There are the interviews of Alex on the DVD where he's ragging Dave for the Diver Down album, specifically "Dancing in the Street? That's not Van Halen!"

Evidently the boys hated it so much they included it on the BOBW fiasco. Go figure.

Sorry....my vote is that it's great. It's a classic VH DVD with some info I wasn't aware of....plus those extra shots of the WACF cover I've never seen before...I like the DVD...

Oh, I totally understand WHY none of Van Halen's music was on the DVD.

My point is, if you are unable to put the music on the DVD, why bother making it?

Would have been better off to load it up with live classic clips and sell it as a bootleg.

The interviews with people around in the early days are worth seeing.
"Dave man.......Dave was THE DUDE". LMAO!

Some nice early stills of the Van Halen brothers as kids....Ed's smoking at like 13 and Al could pass for an adolescent Imelda Marcos.

You'll get ultra-pissed with some of the back-handed comments from the other members.

If you're a VH fan you should have it.
