I "liked" a few songs, but only because it sounded good on the stereo. But from a musical stand point. No. The guy is a paint by numbers rock star. Most of them are. In fact, I think all of them are.

Not a fan but I do respect him for not being to "cool" to admit he likes Hank Jr., The Nuge, Skynyrd etc even though he doesn't sound anything like any of them. Especially the Hank Jr. part considering the type of music he plays and openly admits to other people in that genre who tend to look down on you if you listen to anything other than NWA or Public Enemy.

Like him, I listen to everything and if I were a musician you'd be able to tell the many influences. Country is not my favorite subject but I grew up on Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty and Hank Jr. Plus, Eddie played on Hank Jr.'s "The Call Me Bocephus".

cant stand him or his music,i think steven tyler opened the door for his brand of rapshitrock when he did that run dmc remix of walk this way..buncha sell outs if you ask me.i also thank k/rock for the light hip-hop influence weve seen in country these days..kid rock,other artists like him and the whole hip-hop industry have fucked up all genres of music and ruined true rocknroll as we knew it!take hip-hop out of the world and maybe the white kids will start acting like white kids again,rock music will make a rebound,country acts can go back to their roots,and the overall quality of the music industry will rise-think about it.

Kid Rock...is decent.
Devil without a cause and American Badass are good albums.. but everything else has been shit.
He is trying to be a country singer.. and he just sucks at it.
His voice to me is awful.. unless he is rapping..

The guy is a good performer and when I saw him with Metallica I was impressed..

He came out last year and did a couple of songs with Buddy Guy. It was actually really good, even Buddy was impressed.

And he's got a good blues voice.
