                                      THEY COULD ONLY OFFER HIM A CERTAIN AMOUNT AS THE EXCEPTION...

                                      He still had a year on his contract...and the only way they could offer him more money was to rescind the current contract...then offer him the mid-level exception...

                                      so that's what they did after he agreed to sign it...

                                      Then of course...he signed the bigger deal with Utah...who's mid-level exception was much higher than the Cavs...

                                      Is LeBron top 10? I'd say no...but he's a solid player...no doubt about it...
