Like many of you here, I don't hear Van Hagar much. We've let it pass our ears a time or two, and the agony has compelled us to avoid any exposure. We know enough to say that VH is weaker without DLR. Yesterday at work, we were listening to the radio, and I was in a room with no access to the stereo receiver and got to hear all of "Poundcake". Now, sometimes I wonder to myself if my opinion of Van Hagar isn't based on the music so much as my disappointment in Dave not being in the band. I have to tell you, halfway through the song, I just started laughing. What a pussy-ass song and what a pussy-ass solo this song has. I couldn't even picture King Ed playing something that cheesy after all the bootlegs of the real VH I've been immersed in the last few months. What the F happened to those guys?

There are some Van Hagar songs that are good, it's just that some Roth fans have a hard time admitting it. 
I found Black n Blue to be a good song as well.
