Van Heineken Oct. 29 in Atlanta

Classic Van Halen tribute band Van Heineken returns to the Star Bar in Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 29 with a wild and wooly jumpstart for Halloween weekend. Expect all kinds of tricks and treats.

Will Sammy Hagar crash the party? Will the dancing girls put the boo in booty? Will Ozzy Osbourne sit in? Will the lead singer's wig fall off? Find out yerself.

Opening bands include The Butchers, Jimmy & The Teasers and Wezzer (Weezer tribute). Doors open at 8 p.m. $7. www.starbar.net.

What started out as a one-off goof has garnered a bit of a buzz. In one month, Van Heineken played its first gig, played live on one of Atlanta's top morning radio shows, played an Atlanta Braves playoff game, and has been written up in Atlanta's two largest publications. If some grown men in wigs and tights can get this kind of attention, imagine the real Van Halen reuniting with Dave. Love is in the air.

Once again the mighty Van Heineken kicked the ROTH-ERA style in epic fashion. A tequila'd-up roy hagar tried to ruin the festivities and was humiliated and shown the door promptly.

Bobby Yang amazed trading Eruption riffs with Al Cruz and Ozzy even made an appearance with a walker to lean on!

Fun was had by all......
