I'm just in a band for hobby. I write and record my own material with my band. I am the vocalist. I also play drums on certain recordings, but we have a drummer that is excellent...much better drummer than me.
What style is your playing, Scotty?

My main style, Rikk, is 80's Style Shred Guitar. Probably not too dissimilar from George Lynch/Paul Gilbert/Gary Moore... Most of the time, though, I've been playing on hip-hop cd's, and that means BORING. I have played in a bunch of Jazz Fusion bands, but I'm not much of a jazzer... just gimme some Heavy Rock!! YEAH BABY!!!
Landau was good but he didn't OWN that scene like Steve LukatherOriginally posted by scottydabodi

LUKE of course has probably the best Guitar sound on the planet.
I just play guitar in my band with my old buddies from time to time.
We mainly do covers and some originals. We do anything from Led Zep to The Police.
I even got the boys to play Panama now. But i'm finding that my style has been leading more and more towards players like Andy Summers and the Edge. I've kinda outgrown playing metal.

im a vocalist in a band. we have the same line up as vh. are style is i supose blending classic rock with more modern bands like the datsuns. we all take huge insperation from music from the 60s and 70s. we played our first gig the other day but i have been in other bands that have done gigs.

I'm in a rock band (Loiste).
Planning to hit the studio early next year with this one.
As far as styles and influences go, it's quite interesting how they've blended together so well. the drummer's all about Pantera etc, I'm all for Lizzy 'n' Zep, our singer's pretty much a Top 40 dude, the other guitarist is punk-y and our bass player loves everything.
As a sideproject I'm playing in a punk band (Uzi Diesel).
Same kind of line up, instrument-wise. Ramones, a couple of originals, Misfits, etc...

If you still need a guitar player I may be willing to come out of retirement, only so I could kill JC onstage.

Check out this: http://www.thelabmusic.com I play on lots of stuff here, and it has a Musician's page where you can download video of me playing guitar... cool shit!!
My drummer and I are just trying to jump-start a band. We had a guy over last night playing a "warr" guitar or something... it had 12 strings and was fat-assed. He had it running in stereo with two PODs. Definitely the weirdest instrument I've ever jammed with. He was playing organ, then flute, then guitar...
Good stuff to jam with. No real band right now though.

Well I haven't started the band yet since I've been activated, but once I go back to college I'm gonna start a punk-alternative band that plays originals and has all beginners in the band. Cause I'm looking for musical rejects like myself. But my main goal isn't national fame, but to have a small rabid following of rowdy punks and to open for a pop act (i.e. Justin Timberfuck) just for the purpose of pissing off the audience. I'd be saying crazy shit like: "Any pregnant teenagers out there? Here's a song about that older guy who actually knocked you up and not that dude from your HS you told your parents about." We're talking Tony Clifton material here! But what really inspired me was that gig Devo did back in 1975 opening for Sun Ra as a prank and having the audience want to beat the crap out of em by singing intentionally bad, playing a version of "Jocko Homo" that went on practically forever and ending with a song that goes: "I need a chick, to suck my dick!" LOL

Just moved interstate for work (non-music related) after playing for the last 2 years with these guys: www.aquanoxmusic.com. It's gone from rock to more pop / rock now though...but hey, I was still still happy to be playing live
Now just finishing recording about 12 originals on Pro Tools to get back out there in late January plus getting together about 40-50 covers for acoustic Sunday afternoons in the sun with a mate who's a singer + keys - that'll keep me busy and happy.
I'll post one of my new tracks here when done...

I'm in a "classic rock"band. We have recorded 12 songs for our first record more than a year ago, but it will be released in february (because of internal problems at the record company or whatever..). Although I play in an entirely different style in my band, I'd still like to show you some video pieces of me!
