Which classic album would you like to see played live in it's entirety?

Recently I saw SAGA play the whole of one of their classic albums (Worlds Apart) in it's entirety in the original track listing order, so.........

If Dave was back in the band which classic Van Halen album would you like to see played live in it's entirety?

    Thats a good fucking question.

It depends.... are they playing the album as it is released?

    Are they playing it now?

Id give a nut to have heard em in 78, but for my money... a Fair Warning release party woulda been the shit!!!!

Worlds Apart was released in 1981.

    ("Network" is the new album)

Can't edit my original thread as I've been timed out.

Yes, every night of the current tour.

Before the tour commenced nobody (except the band) knew which one it would be

All of Fair Warning would kick ass live. When you say "in it's entirety" do you mean that the tunes would be played in the order in which they appear on the album? Just wondering what folks think about that.

I'd have to say the first VH album. What better way to do a show than with the way it all began.....I can hear the horn(RWTD)!

I'm with the Big Ragoo on this one. VH1 is the best album they ever released. Fair Warning is classic, but VH1 offers more songs to play in the set. Who the hell would want to hear "Sunday Afternoon in the Park" when they could hear "Eruption"?!
The Fat Lady is singing for Van Hagar.

Great posts! I agree that I'd like to hear VH1 in it's entirety.

Could Eddie play "I'm the One" anymore?

Me. Well, actually a "Sunday Afternoon in the Park" -> One Foot Out the Door live would be so fucking cool.

I was gonna vote for Fair Warning, but I just feel VHII would be more balanced live. I was never a big fan of "So This is Love."

I said 1984 based solely on the fact that it was the first Van Halen album I ever heard and remains to this day my favorite...had I actually discovered Van Halen sooner, I'm sure my choice would be different...

Hard call, as much as I love the first album and Fair Warning I'm going with WACF. Would like to see them pull that off live with Ed pickin' accoustic on Take Your Whiskey Home while Dave toasts the audience with a bottle of Jack kinda like he did in the Oakland vid! This would be more of a group effort than any particular members soloing.

Guys and Gals lets call a DRAW! Now, if we can just figure out a way to get them to play everything from Runnin with the Devil to Me Wise Magic, our debate will be over, and the world would be a perfect place indeed!!!

any of those first 6 albums played live
would call for some kick ass passion and
drive. only Dave has it in him to do it.
he'd be up to the task of kicking those
other 3 jackoffs into shape again.

for an encore, they can add Can't Get This Stuff No More
    and Me Wise Magic

fuck it, I want the entire 6 pack live.

I was only 14 when they broke up in 85. I never got the chance to see em. At this point they could all play the pan flute and accordian and I'd be front row!

I would like to see "Balance"

You don't know how hard I am laughing right now. I am just kidding obviously.

It is so hard to pick one album. I would like to see them perform all the tracks you never would hear on the radio. Can you imagine "In A Simple Rhyme" "Could This Be Magic" "Sinners Swing" "Big Bad Bill" "Secrets" Who's with me????

    CHANGE:
How about for a non VH album: AC/DC "Back In Black" start to finish. I saw that tour, it was unbelievable. But to hear it live, in order would kick ass!

Yeah, if they played only FW tunes, it'd be a short show. Unless they extended each tune with some serious jams!
