Where can I get more info on the 99'-00' Roth-VH reunion? I've been hearing about that and saw it on the Vh1 link.
Unfortunately, not much is known about it. It was confirmed by Eddie and Dave that the band got together in the summer of 2000 and recorded three songs. It was also confirmed that they were merely demos. The band were in talks for a big reunion. Warner Bros. even released the remasters that summer, and had a contest to win the CDs autographed, originally saying theyit would be signed by all band members (hinting that Dave would sign them too). Of course, there was nothing but silence until finally, the band admitted they weren't doing anything anymore and Ed finally blamed the lawyers. The general concensus is that Dave wouldn't join because the band wanted him only as a hired gun (as Ace and Peter were on the KISS reunion tours). Dave wouldn't accept that (Sammy did when he rejoined). He wanted his proper share of the reunion profits. And he was right!!! It is also rumored that Dave saw the new contract from '96 giving the other three far more royalties than he got on the back catalogue.
