Well Said. That Alex would try to belittle Dave is just really ridiculous. Bottom line is that Ed and Alex would've never gotten to where they did w/ out Dave. Not because they weren't talented enough, but because Dave ran the business, lyrical, and creative sides as well.

I think that Dave has a few reasons for doing the paramedic thing:
1. he is an altruist and a humanitarian.
2. he is a believer in zen, (what you give is what you get)
3. he is looking for inspiration and a catalyst for creativity. Betcha a smoking album comes out of this...maybe Fair Warning style.

I saw Ratt at manhattans in 1985..they were awful but it was still good fun.

Fuck that shit. Dave don't need Eddie, Alex and Michael. They need him. Tour or don't tour... who gives a crap. If they tour, they promote Dave era material... they use it to advertise the tour so people might actually go.

This stuff used to piss us off, because Ed, Alex and Michael writing what they call "music" (and I use that term lightly) with Spam tarnished what was left to the luster of the Van Halen name in terms of the six pack. But that was so long ago.... no one cares anymore.

Dave is the shining star and Ed, Al and Mike can't touch that no matter how hard they try. Truth is a bitch. Just look at what it has done to Ed.
