Lately we have been given 2 notable news stories.
The first being that Diamond Dave is volunteering in Rockland Cty, Ny
as an EMT. He is saving lives....
The second is that on November 19th, 2004 Eddie Van Halen smashed 2 guitars
on stage in an apparent fit of drunken rage.He is taking lives....his own!
And I'm STILL getting Yahoo! alerts about Davy Baby, and absolutely NADA about Eddie Van Breakdown!
Hehehhee! Even the Pistons-Pacers game got more press than Van Meltdown......

I wondered originally about the lack of interviews and virtual silence when they came back with Sam...of course, Mike, Al and Sam said they decided that "less is more"...sure...
The reason there wasn't any more in the way of interviews or press is because, well, nobody was interested.
Even when the news broke, any mention of it was brief and fleeting, more of a "Van Halen History 101, oh and by the way Hagar's back" than anything else...a few of the articles even deined to throw in a picture of them, but not many.
Van Halen's such a non-commodity at this point, it's to the point of being totally ignorable.
