that is the one his dad owned and then sold to Dave. I guess a few movies were filmed here and his Dad actually got small parts for letting them use the house.

He said in the interview that his mom was always calling hm a screw-off for always wanting to play guitar instead of getting a 'real job'. She would say "Your never going to amount to anything" and stuff. Kinda sad...I can see where he'd be an alki. Bad genes and too much money too fast. Dangerous receipe...

I remember EVH refereing to his parents as the "Conservative & the screw up", the "cheerleader & the stoner."
His mom was the one pushing for him to take college classes to repair computers right up until the band got signed.

In the 70's, Sears & Roebuck dept. store sold cheap guitars...

I think Edward mentioned somewhere that his first electric was a Sears Silvertone...
