Dave's Autograph

I remember it being said that one of Dave's staff, Ed I think, used to sign Dave's autograph for him. Did anyone else hear this story? Do you think that is why Dave went to a more printed signature for a while like below, so that it was easier for Ed to copy?

I'm fortunate enough to have a personally autographed copy of EEAS that my Dave gave to my Dad (to give to me) when my pop met him in 1986.

I have a guitar autographed by Dave. My most prized possession, even though I didn't personally get it.

But this picture I got from his defunked fan club in 1992, I'm pretty sure was signed by Ed Anderson and not Dave; so I haven't attached any sentiment to it. But I've sure made up a lot of great stories for people on how I got it.

I work closely with dave and unfortunately his former manager used to sign things for him. the warner brothers publicity photo that is scanned is his signiture. all memorabilia signed by dave in the last 5 years is legit.

I did just go back and look at some contratcs that he's signed for me and i can tell you that within the past 3 years they way to tell if it's his signature is his "D" is large and the avid is written inside the "D". hope that helps and makes sense

The Entire Music business knows that if Dave was back in it would be the biggest tour this side of U2! the problem is that the brothers have full control and don't care what the fans really want. fact: the dave years outsell sammy 2 to 1 every week and when you hear a block of songs on the radio it's usually3 dave songs and 1 sammy! but the tour did well enough with sammy but no where near what it could have done with dave. there's nothing more frustrating than having a drunk irrational person like eddie in charge! our only hope is that come next april the brothers will realize they can't tour that big again without going out with dave. there's way too much money to be made .
