    TOP 100 GREATEST...Van Halen Comparison

Of the Top 100 Greatest Frontmen...Dave ranked #9, Spammy #61, Gary???

Top 100 Guitarists -Eddie ranked #9

Top 100 Drummers -Alex ranked #32 (lower than the guy from Journey...) :p

Top 100 Bassists- Michael Anthony didn't even fucking rank!

So, what the fuck is Eddie (a Top 10er) and Dave (a Top10er) doing with these no class bums in the first place. Eddie & Dave need to get back together, fire Shemp and Yes Man and get with Stewart Copeland and Billy Sheehan and reunite the CLASSIC VAN HALEN sound...without the problem areas of the lesser talents.

I agree, Mike is stuck up Spam's ass and Al hates Roth. So Ed needs to form a project with Dave similar to Page-Plant.

How about the fact that Dave and Ed both ranked in 9th.

Van Halen without Alex is fine. But you'd have to have Mike to sing backup. I admit, he's no Billy Sheehan in terms of technique, but one of the best features of old VH is Mike's backing vocals. It wouldn't work without him.

There are plenty of top notch studio musicians who could cop Mike's back up vocals. I agree that Al and Mike are important pieces to the puzzle but Ed AND DAVE could do it without them.

There's something you don't read very often. However it is sort of true, as long as you don't let him sing happy trails live UGH!
Rumour has it that Van Halen have continued in recent years with a new lead signer, but since there 1985 breakup, nobody involved has ever recaptured that spontaneous cheeseburger magic!

While Mike may not be the gratest thumper around, the fury derived from Dave and Ed challenging each other has a "trickle-down" effect and keeps Mike from putting stupid-ass, flaming pepper cowboy hats on.
