So that's one good thing. And the other? I bought Little Feat's 'Sailin' Shoes' LP after hearing Apolitical Blues (When It's Love b-side). Great, great album!

In my defense can I point out that me and a bunch of my school friends, aged 15, had the taste to realise that Eat Em And Smile and VH1 were the real thing, and I bought Montrose when Kerrang voted it into the top 5 metal albums of all time - not because I love Sammy or anything..........

I first became aware of Sammy Hagar back in 81 when he was a solo artist after Montrose & before Van Halen. The debut album from Montrose kicks ass which is one of the greatest hard rock albums of all time. All the juvenile VH fans who have a problem with Sammy as frontman have WAY TOO MUCH time on their hands since it's Eddie's band no matter who the frontman is at any given moment.
