    Who is RothArmy Member 5150?

Just curious who 'won' that distinction? Are they a Van Hagar lover? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

PS - Sorry if this has come up before. I'm still kinda the 'new guy'.

Whoever is member 5150 at the Links probably jumped for joy when he made that realization.

5150 evokes such strong negativity. Any REAL Van Halen fan understands that there's nothing funny, cute or positive about that number.

Any REAL Van Halen fan will also know that Eddie used the "5150" logo on his guitar during the 1984 tour.....

What? We all know what it means and we GRASP it for the humor VH saw in it!

Yup, and that tour was their weakest, most cardboard cut-out tour, the beginning of the end. I know that 1984 was done in "5150" studios...I try to deny it though.

Sorry, LOOOO. Some of us actually love the 1984 album. I was only a kid and that was my first exposure to the band. That album was produced better than any other VH album except FAIR WARNING, IMHO. And the tour seemed pretty amazing to me. You posted the DVD of the Montreal show. And I much appreciated upgrading my old VHS.

I posted the 1984 DVD by request.

I have, I don't know, maybe fifty 1984 shows. THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME! The tour had a rigid setlist and every show was cookie cutter except Quebec 4/21/84. They also cut out pretty much everything from VHII, WACF and FW on that tour. 75% of the songs were either VHI or 1984, a couple of DD, one WACF and one FW. The shows have a rigid, forced feel to them.
