Reunion Blues IS a great chapter, but it was also a little upsetting in the sense that the most he had to say about VH (Big Ed gets more mentions throughout the book than Eddie V) and the band members was in this then-recent upsetting debacle.

Still and all, the line about "I don't need to love you to make great music with you. You think all 115 members of the New york Philharmonic love each other? You think they even know each others NAMES???" is a classic.

Then I've done my job by starting this post!

And, yeah, Travels With Dave is a great one.

I also thought the bit where he recalls Cindy Adams questioning him whether he would confirm he'd had sex with the famous groupie Miss Connie in a roomful of people.

"How long ago did this supposedly happen?"

"Five or six years ago, Dave."

"Hmmm...well, I'd like to think so!"

    Solid!

Well, the first chapter I read was All The Girls I've Loved Before, but was not my favorite.

Favorite depends on what day I am reading it.

I like Police Story..."I don't know sir. We found him down by 32nd street. He says he's just a gigolo."

The bit about going to the Halloween party with Elle Macpherson (sp?) is pretty funny.

He's like, "the bathroom was really dark and they had a trough...then he realizes there's some masochistic dipshit chained in it so you can piss on it......LMAO!

Reunion blues is the chapter I revisit the most.
It's a weird read because I never finish it ,I just pick the chapter that interests me the most at that moment and read it again.
It's in the cupboard in the bathroom so I read it at least a couple of times a week. It's seen more bathtimes than Spammy Horrible has had pies,I might be exagerating there.

I can't really pick a favourite, but its really great when he talks about the early days of VH, explaining about the backyard gigs and promotion techniques etc.

    Funniest part:

I haven't read it in the last 3 months so I don't remember which chapter it is. I love where he tells the story of going to the private school and makes "The Annihalator" padel to challenge the senior and when he goes home on break they send his parents a letter kicking him out.

    That sounds like classic Dave.
I also dig the Business 101 chapter. A few years ago I remember TLC had to file for bankruptcy and I was wondering how in the hell a group that big could have no money. Then I read his book and it all made sense.

The merchandise war with the mob is really cool also. The guy free climbs up 6 stories of a hotel and stumbles into the room where they are counting the cash from that nights take. He takes off back down the side of the hotel when he sees they have guns....... Dave saying he wishes they could of caught him cause thats the guy you want holding his rope when he goes climbing. Again, Classic Dave.

The "just a gigalo" story makes everyone I've let read it laugh. They all remember the video and instantly get it.

I read it 3 times and gave it as a gift to a friend.
I loved the chapter about the early club days.

I want Dave to write another one...soon! I know he has lots more to say!

You no longer have a copy for yourself???

we're gonna have to rectify that somehow...

Considering that the original manuscript wa supposedly 1200 pages, there's still plenty leftover. Plus, what with 8 years having gone by since the publication, you're right, he should have planty more to recount.
