Van Halen Boots - Anyone record one themselves?

Was just interested to know if any VH fans on here recorded any bootlegs themselves from shows they were at. If so, which show or shows did you do and what did you record it on? If you didn't do one yourself, do you know someone who did?

My Dad did the Hammersmith 78 one if anyones interested, he said he was sat in the circle, roughly in the middle with his old tape recorder that he smuggled in under his jacket.

I know the person who taped all the San Fran '82 and '84 shows, as well as a guy who taped Philly 3/20/84 and 3/21/84. If I had been around, I probably would have tried to tape the shows too. I heard that unlike now, they didn't really care that much to check if you had taping equipment.

I used to tape every show that I went to in the lat 80's...unfortunately, I had no idea about good equipment...I used one of those mini-tape recorders...full size tape, mini recorder. I actually 'boot-leged' it too, tucking it under my boot sock. Roth in Portland, ME in 1988, Ozzy '89, Metallica '89, Skid Row and Bon Jovi in '90 (all from Providence)...the ones I didnt lose sound like crap though...not worth sharing.
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

My old man told me he got caught taking the tape recorder in once, it might of been a Rainbow gig if he saw them at Hammersmith, and they said we'll take the tapes and batteries off you. He said fine. As soon as he got to his seat he pulled out another pack of batteries and another tape!

In summer of 1979 VH played Wichita Kansas on the VH II tour.

I had a fucking tape recorder that I successfully snuck in, only to find out I had left my batteries in the car!!!
