    Oates was diagnosed in 2001...

    Not many folk probably know him...or remember him...but he was a good baseball guy...and left texas...because he had a shitty team laboring under ARod's shitty contract...

    Yeah Oates was a class guy and a good manager. Took the Rangers to their only playoff appearances. RIP.
