    Your fave VH cover?

Everything they touched - including "Happy Trails" - they made their own. But what to you is their most redefining, panty-wetting, fuckin' BEST cover of Classic Halen?

Of the ones on your list, gotta go with "You Really Got ME". My all-time favorite is "Where have All the Good Times Gone".

Really? Where have all the Good Times Gone? Huh. Who knew...

(I like it, but not as much as some of the other choices in the poll. One of my favorite ed solos, though. And I actually don't know the Kinks original to compare it to)(You Really Got Me, however, by slowing it down, VH redefined it, and also foudn the songs true groove)

The same people that know about what they are talking about or take the time to read liner notes.

I think it's their best cover, by the way.

    You're No Good.

The VH cover of this song is one of the best covers ever, IMO.

"You Really Got Me" has to be the sentimental favorite if you can call it that.

"You're No Good" and "Where Have All The Good Times Gone?" are equally as good....

"You're No Good" is a really good treatment of the material...the intro, building to the yelps....dynamic to put it mildly.

...."used to be I couldn't sleep at night baby"....

Wow, I'm surprised to see all the love for You're No Good. Usually that one gets bashed a bit. I fucking love it..........maybe not the best album opener, but a great tune nonetheless.

I love Dave's vocals on that one. And I love how the VH version is so different from any other version...

Great riff. Too bad it was kind of wasted on a cover tune though.

I've read that Ed was pissed that the riff was used for that song....it would have been cool to have heard it used for an original tune.

    DLR7884
But I agree with you...cool sound.

I'm actually AMAZED at how well You're No Good is doing!

I have to admit, it is my LEAST favorite song from CVH. Hate the bass solo, hate the song, not particularly enamored with Ed's guitar work on it.

    To each their own.

    ehm....

    Or Ice Cream Man!
"With a rate of fire of over 20 rounds per second, the IMI Micro Uzi is almost as fast as Yngwie Malmsteen, and 25.4 times more musical"
