Why do you predict a Steelers win?
sticky? (this could get good...)
The Steelers? Don't make me laugh...
Big Ben better shake yesterday off.....Bruschi & co. ain't foolin' around.

thanks for elaborating just a little...
they are referring to a Halloween game, where the Pats lost. Guess what Steelers, now we got Dillon back, prepare to eat humble pie again. TUCK RULE, BABY!
Pats without a doubt. Big Ben can't handle the pressure. And, not to put it all on his shoulders the Pats are superior to the Steelers.

It's because of Corey Dillon, Julia....
As if ANY fucking running back can make a difference against that defense....
Look at the stats I threw in the other thread, not exactly earthshattering...
I'm telling ya, this is falling right into the Steelers hand....
They're going to be hearing all week from the national press how they can't win and how Ben is all of a sudden a rookie QB....
The worst thing you should want as a Pats fan is to see the Pats as 3 point favorites on the road....
Having said all of that, I'm glad it's the Pats and not the Colts....

You should have wished that Ben threw for 300 yds and a few TD's vs. the Jets....Originally posted by EVH FANATIC

The fact that he played poorly is just another reason that he'll play that much better next Sunday....
hmmm, maybe having a total of NINE starters out that week made a difference for us? face it, the Pats will ROMP next week! Take all your terrible towels and flush em!
AND, you may wanna recheck your stats, NE defense is just as good. besides, the Jets OWNED the Sqeelers yesterday, LUCKY to still be playing...
You say that as if the Steelers have been healthy all year...
Take a look at the injury list buddy, you'll see we've had just as many major injuries....
I'm not impressed with Big Ben dude. Plain and simple.Originally posted by Va Beach VH Fan

The Steelers beat the Jets (actually the Jets beat themselves) barely after everyone said it wouldn't be close. Well it could of gone either way. But, the Steelers won and that's what counts.
Congrats.
yes, but we had 9 out at once. did you? face it, Dillon can roll right past your broken down bus. take that to the bank.
Is that why the Steelers rushed for 221 yards the first time around....Originally posted by phildogger

Wait, I know bro, it was the injuries....
i dont think it really matters but pats dont got ty law
LOL, I'll remember to compare the rushing stats after the game...Originally posted by phildogger

I refuse to use injuries as an excuse. Its a REASON, not an excuse.
I fail to see the logic that Ben will have a good game on Sunday because he had a bad game against the Jets.
Lets talk about who WILL be healthy next week...namely one Richard Seymour.
I think that he won't be forcing any balls into protection, and I would hope that in such situations that he would run more....Originally posted by Dave's PA Rental

feel free to check stats, we will be to busy making flight plans to the SUPER BOWL
Be my guest bro, book away....
Don't get me wrong, it will definitely be a great game....
But what I don't understand is how everyone is all of a sudden dismissing an arguable dominating effort the last time the two teams played....
Lemme ask you this, do you think Dillon will get 100 yards ???
yes, I do. I wont deny Pittsburgh is good, but NE is hot as a pistol right now, and the Steelers just limped in
Here is where I get in trouble when asked to talk about stats...I think that the Patriots will find a way to win on Sunday.
We have a coach who is the best in the league at designing a game plan that will put his team in position to win the game.
Everyone loves to sound real smart and quote statistics and to try and predict statistics...
Belichick will exploit Big Ben.

Man, New England is impresesive. I can't stand 'em, but give credit where credit is due... They're not flashy, but they're smart and very strong defensively. Pittsburgh will have to bring its very best game next week. The same goes for Philly against Atlanta. There will be no margin for error for either team.
Here's to an all-Pensylvania Bowl!
You can't stand em because you fear them
Phil, I know that this is the annonimous internet, but can you show some class?
Pittsburgh was 15-1 this year, and Big Ben is for real.
This is an evenly matched team, and I think the difference will be the head coach of the Patriots getting his team in a position to win.
It is no contest between Bill Belichick and Bill Cowher. For that reason alone I gotta go with the Patriots. I said this weeks ago, that it was gonna come down to the Pats and Stillers, and that the second time around the Pats would win. I'm still sticking by that. If the Pats held the Colts to 3 points, I don't think they'll have any problems containing a Stillers offense that seems to rack up rushing yards but can't quite get it in the end zone.
With disregard to whatever score I may have predicted before, the Pats will win and I'll say 16-10. Three field-goals by big-time money kicker Adam Vinatieri.

These are the same people that were saying the Steelers didn't have a chance in hell of beating the Pats on Halloween. I love these absolutes..."No chance in hell!" C'mon people...this is football. I'm not gonna claim the Steelers will destroy the Pats. I think it'll be a hard game...and probably a close one. But we can damn well fucking do it. And, yes, the Pats could damn well do it.
This is no slaughter. You guys are going up against a 15-1 team.
Scoring twenty points agaist the Colts is one thing...Scoring 20 or more against the Steelers is another thing entirely...
We know the running game will be there...We know the 'D' will DEFINATELY be there...
I guess the rest is all up the rookie...But he can come through.
He's going to be spending 168 hours between games figuring out exactly what he did wrong and realizing, "OK, that's pressure." Of course he can come through. And he can do it.Originally posted by aesop
