If Creedence is bubble-gum, then what is Sprinsteen?
At the moment, nothing, because I lent my DLR's Best Of CD to a friend, who was a David Lee Roth fan but didn't know it 'till I showed 'im
He liked Yankee Rose from the sound track to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but he didn't know it was DLR. I played it to him, and he liked it, plus the rest of The Best

It IS a great record, (actually sone of the songs kinda blow), but it ain't about the guitar: listen to songs like "Goodbye" and "Sometimes She Forgets" and you'll know songwriting at its finest.
Agreed, it is great songwriting, but for me it IS a guitar record. When I first heard VHI it amazed me and made me decide to learn to play guitar. I thought "I have no idea how that is done, but I want to learn to play like that".
The only other time I've felt that way was Train ... specifically Hometown Blues, Mercenary, and Tom Ames. For the life of me, I have no concept of how to play guitar like that, but I want to learn.
Most music I hear I pretty much understand the mechanics of, and I know I could probably play it if I applied myself. I hear Hometown Blues and know I could never play like that.
I have Queen live at Whembly
Joe Satriani - Strange Beautiful Music
In about 5 minutes I'm getting in my car and driving to work. In the CD player will be Yngwie Malmsteen, that Concerto that he did, just for the seer WANKITUDE of it!!!

A Best of CVH comp I made in my car ... but a Sony 200 disc player in the house.
Could go in like 10 disc increments, but its all comp discs I made to conserve space in the damn thing. Except for the Led Zep Complete Studio Recordings 10 disc box.
Man, I bought that box in 1993, I believe. And the damn thing has been played so many fucking times since then. It still plays perfectly, but talk about being given it's full worth.Originally posted by ALinChainz
