Tim Buckley - Greetings from LA is great !
Great german band with a jazzy touch, strongly recommended !
Progessive rock with a big emphasis on rock.
Originally a double album but without any shitty "concept".
Sounds very raw as it was recorded live in the studio.

Is this in any way comparable to Vargas Blues Band ??
Mostly what I listen to in the car is MP3 compilation discs I make. Currently what I have in there now is a compilation disc of various ecclectic 70s rock and pop songs. Yes, I'm a sucker for that shit. On the PC here at work I have good old "Screaming For Vengeance" playing.
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...
Whats in my CD player NOW? HA! Nothing. The only music as of late that I get to listen to is the Wonderpets, Dora, or Backyardigans. :p
Oh, I also get treated and listen to Hannah Montana. Oh yah, pump up the jam right there.

I know ,I know, it's one of the dreaded lost Pantera records but in a strange way i dig it. With a change of lyrics a couple of the songs would have sounded just fine on Cowboys From Hell .

Hey Tiki, how's it going?
Hope all is well....
I'm listening to Fight Paris (an awesome dirty rock n roll band spiced with a little hardcore punk)
All is well my friend, same for you I hope.Originally posted by binnie

Just haven't had much time for the old computer as the workload is kickin my ass lately.
Me and the Lady have been playing the hell out of Mastodon Binn,
You were not kidding when you said they are heavy. Thanks for recommending them.
No problems Tiki.
If I find a band that kicks ass, I like to let people know. I saw Mastodon opening for Metallica at Wembley stadium on July 8th. They were incredible, sounded like the apocalypse coming!
65,000 metalheads and one HUGE moshpit!
Mastodon are a band to watch for the future, I think.

That being said, this is a bloody good, and bloody heavy, album.
