the B'z
Fucking amazing ballads that don't suck in the least.
Listen to songs like Calling or Brotherhood.

'I'm A Loser' by UFO. The lyrics are shite ("You can come to my place and sleep on the couch/Lots of people do it and we won't leave you out"), but it's a classic song.
'Goodbye To Romance' by Ozzy pre-sell out days.
'Fall To Pieces' by Velvet Revolver, best single of 2004.
'Ain't No Nice Guy' by Motorhead featuring Ozzy and Slash
and 'Let It Be' is just a beautiful song.
Fast & Bulbous, Got Me?
'Fall To Pieces' by Velvet Revolver, best single of 2004.
Nah, that song sucks ass. It's so lumbering and directionless.
Yeah, well-you don't have to listen to it.
i like unintented from Muse
little french dreamer hate those Van Hagar backstage party!!

And I don't. Skip it most every time. It's not really a slight to them, I just don't dig on that one.Originally posted by Shaun Ponsonby

"Seasons Of Wither" by Aerosmith comes to mind.
I've always liked "Starry Eyes" by Motley Crue as well...
Of course "Little Dreamer" by VH is a stellar tune.
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...
Wild Horses. Angie. Salt of the Earth. You've Got the Silver. Waiting on a Friend. Even Fool to Cry.
The Stones were (are) master songsmiths, whether for true rock'n'roll, or for ballads.
And any of the Johnny Cash recordings produced by Rick Rubin are stellar.
Deep Purple - When A Blind Man Cries
DLR - Tell The Truth...
Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever
"With a rate of fire of over 20 rounds per second, the IMI Micro Uzi is almost as fast as Yngwie Malmsteen, and 25.4 times more musical"
Worst of all... It's true..
I agree on the Stones picks as well.
If I wanna a really good old school ballad I go for The Beatles "Across The Universe"
Here's just a few that come to mind...
Queen
- Who wants to live forever
- Friends will be friends
Scorps
- Still loving you
Ozz
- Goodbye to romance
Ryche
- Silent Lucidity
- Suite sister Mary
- Is there anybody listening?
Dream Theater
- Under Peruvian Skies
Blues Traveler
- The Mountains Win Again
The Four Horsemen
- Song for absent friends
DLR
- Experience
Neil Young
- Heart of gold
Blind Mellon
- No Rain
Yo Yo Yo
Oh yeah...anyone know Neil Young's "Pocahontus"? Beautiful stuff.
Jane's Addiction had one called "I Would For You". Pretty twisted.
And there's a guy named RYAN (NOT BRYAN) Adams who has got an album called Heartbreaker, which is really good, particularly a song called "Amy".

Hey! Cool! A compatriot AND five stars! You've made my day!
Excellent. "Love to Love" as well.....blistering solo by Schenker...."Strangers in the Night" version amazes.Originally posted by Shaun Ponsonby
'I'm A Loser' by UFO.
Priest: "Before The Dawn".
Cheap Trick: "Mandocello"
Skynyrd: "One More Time"
Meatloaf: "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad"- The lyrics are a laugh riot.
How can we all forget Sweet Child O' Mine?
Alice Cooper "Only women bleed"
GnR "November rain"
Motley Crue "You`re all I need"
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Sitting on a park bench!
Thanks to it's cruel lyrics, "Stay" by Pink Floyd might be the best ballad ever...
"You keep on moving" by Deep Purple - Coverdale's finest moment.
"Night life" DLR
"Disappearing one" and "Steel rain" from Chris Cornell's "Euphoria morning"
"Last remaining light" by Audioslave.

Bohemian Rhapsody.. (Surely ???)
Stairway to Heaven (Led Zep)
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !
Love ya Mary Frances!
More than a feeling. (Boston)
AC/DC - Ride On...
U2 - Drowning Man
"Lay of the Sunflower" & "Soulshine" by Govt Mule
"Always With Me, Always With You" by Joe Satriani
"Plush" by Stone Temple Pilots
^^^ Rhapsody a ballad? I thought it was considered as a 'Fur Elise' of Classic Rock or something.
Anyway, I'd pick 'My Oh My' by Slade (great song) and 'I Remember You' by Skid Row (Skid Row fucking rule). But I actually hate ballads.
'If there isn't something crazy that goes on in the span of the day then something's not right', - Zakk Wylde
I forgot about 'Tuesday's Gone' by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
I love the hell outta old Stones classics. I heard a female band recently sing "Wild Horses" for a prom scene in a tv show. I think it was an episode of Buffy but I recognized the song right away. Don't know who they were but it actually sounded really good. Unlike that travesty Axl Rose committed when he tried to do "Sypmathy For The Devil"...
Always liked "Beast Of Burden" and "Gimme Shelter" too.
A few of my personal favs:
One that virtually no one remembers because it was never a single. Skynyrd's acoustic "All I Can Do Is Write About It".
You're right! Skid Row kicks ass!
I don't like Faster Pussycat but I always liked "House Of Pain". It was not a typical boy trying to woo girl song.
Kinda into Silvertide's "Headstrong" right now too.

"Ten Years Gone" by Led Zeppelin.
My Love-Paul McCartney & Wings
I Never Cry-Alice Cooper
Time For Me To Fly-REO Speedwagon
Changes-Black Sabbath
Woman-John Lennon
Beth-Kiss
This is the most PUSSY thread I have ever read!
YUK!
Yeah, "Ten Years Gone" is pussy. And "Love Me Tender" is full of testosterone.
I would add: Aerosmith's "Dream On" along with "Seasons of Wither"
Any that Led Zeppelin did.
U2-Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own (From the recent album)
Bon Jovi-Never Say Goodbye, Livin on a Prayer (flame away)
GnR-Sweet Child O' Mine and November Rain
Stones-Wild Horses
Hendrix-Little Wing
Sabbath-Changes, NIB
Ozzy-"Goodbye to Romance", "Mama, I'm Coming Home", "Road to Nowhere".
Deep Purple-"Child In Time".

Home TOnight by Aerosmith
Lodi...CCR. 'Nuff said.
I do respect that you have an opinion-but I would just like to say that Bon Jovi are the worst band ever.Originally posted by CVHfan

In fact, they're not even a rock band-they're a pop band. I know as many rock fans as anybody else on this site, and only one of them actually likes Bon Jovi. He gets so much piss taken out of him about it that he doesn't need a bladder anymore.
What about 'Shooting Star' by Bad Company or 'Bobby Brown Goes Down' by Frank Zappa (best lyrics ever) or 'Used To Love Her' by Guns 'n' Roses (Have I already mentioned that?)
