I consider Dave to be an expert in marketing and in business, but calling the band Van Halen is the second worst decision he ever made. (Leaving Van Halen was the worst decision Dave ever made).

If the band had been called Mammoth, Dave would be where he is today - still on top. Ed would be where great guitarists like George Lynch and Michael Schenker are - nowhere.
