worst Van Hagar album

for me its easily OU812...its just so totally unredeemable. when its love, finish what you started, feels so good(fucking crap!),black and blue(nice lyrics sammy), and the rest which I forget.

at least 5150 has distinction that Dave kinda helped with some tracks, and FUCK the fact good ol' Ted produced it, and the keyboards were gone. Balance...meh? it had a few instrumentals, and I think a track starts with monks singing.thats so crap its quite funny so it goes up in my estimation

But OU812. from the name, to the cover, to the fact theyve not even got the right track listing on the back

Worst (for Hagar) would be either of the hits packages. Placed alongside the Dave songs the deficincies of the Hagar tracks are glaring.

a vocal remover, and i scoured all the hagar era, i'd probly have half a disc of cool ass songs/grooves. ed's the man. then again six or seven songs with no vocals is not much to say for '85-'96. maybe ed's not the man.

F.U.C.K is the only Van Hagar album where there's no love song...that's a good point !!! beside of that, Ed 's sound is heavy and imposing ;

I complete lost interest in Van Halen after wasting $13 on For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. There was some redeeming guitar work on 5150 and OU8SPAM2 and the up-tempo tunes are bearable, but FUCK just sucked, going down hill after "Poundcake." I've honestly never heard Balance or VHIII, never even a fan after the Hagar era was in full swing.

FUCK is the worst Van Hagar album for its sheer blandness.

Despite Sammy's vocals and lyrics, I thought the album started off okay with Poundcake and Judgement Day. But after that it's bland, unimaginative, booooooooooring rock at its worst (or best).

It's clear that the band had run out of ideas with crap like Man On A Mission, Pleasure Dome, Runaround and the ghastly Top Of The World.

This album confirmed there was never any chemistry between Eddie and Sammy. Once Eddie had used up all the good stuff he'd already written with Dave for 5150, he and Sammy weren't capable of coming up with anything on their own. That's probably why Eddie stated in 1996 that the problems with Sammy started around the time they released FUCK.

I didnt even like 5150 that much.

A couple of cool riffs (obviously meant for Dave) but
you cant avoid Sammys voice. The tracks I did hear off
following Hagar albums just got worse and worse.

I'm with you Almost: some of 5150 is tolerable, FUCK is cheesy, but TT did assist here so points for that, Balance again, some is decent. I kinda like 7th seal and DTMWLCD...the riffs anyway....but OU812 is the worst peice of trash front to back that they have done yet!

2 is not even close. Dave outsold Van Hagar by over 2-1 ratio I believe. You can see for yourself at the "official" site.
