    Question Respect The Wind..

I heard that Ed & Al once recorded a song called "Respect The Wind"..Is that True?

I suppose you guys know such things..
"With a rate of fire of over 20 rounds per second, the IMI Micro Uzi is almost as fast as Yngwie Malmsteen, and 25.4 times more musical"

    Worst of all... It's true..

It was on the "Twister" soundtrack.

    It was an instrumental.

I have it on some bootleg...it's not great, but it's listenable.

It doesn't sound like VH at all.

I expected a good flatulence joke here. I'm disappointed.

To each it's own. If you expect to hear 80-ish classic brown sound - don't bother DL-ing it. For me being a huge Tchaikovsky fan, I consider 'Respect The Wind' as a masterpiece of Ed's songwriting which once again proves his talent and outstanding skills.

Only a fucking sheep would have the nerve to compare EVH writing an instrumental for a fucking shitty movie to Tchaikovsky.

I think it is a good track. I had an MP3 of it from Napster way back when, but it isn't anything that special. Personally, Eddie would have done everyone a favor around that time if he released and album of instrumentals that included "Respect The Wind" and "Balunchitherium" among others that he could have written. Something in the vein of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai or Eric Johnson. People might have been able to appreciate Ed the musician and not get angry about Ed the jerk.

It was on a great soundtrack featuring the song that broke up a shitty band called Van Hagar. Unfortunately, this album was also responsible for the reformed Fleetwood Mac, featuring a Stevie Knicks that made Spammy look like a fitness model.

this is a joke, right? if it is, it's near-genius. If it's not...may God love you.
