so, what would van halen of 1978 say about the "van halen" of 2004?

being the first thread i've started i don't know whether or not this has been asked before, but...

any ideas as to how the band that we all know and love would react to the pussed out versions of themselves in 2004(minus dave obviously)?

i thinking along the lines of dave punching out eddie and sammy for ruining the image... stuff like that

Depends on who answers. Ed, Sam, Al and Mike would say "they are better now, more of a "band" etc, etc.

    Dave would just laugh....

I think it's hillarious that VH used to make fun of pussified bands like Journey and Quiet Riot.....and without Dave, they've slowly but surely evolved into one themselves.

Ed would wonder who the shriveled up old woman playing guitar was

Al would say some incoherent gibberish which he thought was deep and intellectual, but translated into, "DUH."

Mike would say, "The new singer is kind of cute."

And we all know what Dave would say because he's said it numerous times.

Hmm, I think Davy Baby would rethink the 'group' scenario and become a solo artist from the jump (pun intended!)

Good question. Here's what I think would most likely happen:

If in 78 someone showed them "Can't Stop Lovin' You" and didn't tell them who it was by, they would tear it apart! Then the person would say to Ed and Al "Oh ya dipshit, that's your band!" and the Van Halens would say they like it, and it's a better version of the band, and Mike would nod in agreement.

Dave would then keep that in mind for the next couple of years, and when Ed buys his first synth, Dave would kick him in the balls and say "NO BITCH!"

I think Ed would say the guitarist is "pissin' up a rope."

Come on, you folks know they would be making fun of that shit.

Then they would be feeling like shit when they found out that it was them without Dave.

If it panned out like "A Christmas Carol", they'd have alot of work ahead of 'em.

Eddie would die, if he saw what he looked and turned out to be 26 years later, Alex would be kissing Eddie's ass like he is today, I don't know what Mike would say.

Dave would be laughing because he turned out the best off.

Deep inside Van Halen was a nerd fighting to get out. Whenever it showed it's ugly head, Dave would stomp on it and run it back deep inside the Van Halens. The nerd loved to drink too much. Dave got a taste of a successful solo career and was tired of the nerd, so he decided to take a chance and move out on his own. The nerd flourished and thrived on the food Sammy Hagar fed it. Enough said.

Yeah, anything short of ghosts of Van Halen past, present and future aren't gonna prod Ed and Al back into re-forming the real band.

i think dave be a bit pissed of and upset if he new he wasent going to be in van halen cause he fucking loved that band, also he would be pissed at what they became. but he would get over that cause he would see hes the only one anyone still cares about and the only one left with respect.
