Drop In The Bucket... kind of a Mack the Knife open, with ass-shakin' verses, and the cool-down half-time section...

    "It`s showtime!".

VH rip off for sure, but it`s so tight and Becker`s solo beggars belief.

My favourite album. Bar none. You can impress anyone (fan, or never-heard-of-him potential convert, as long as they have a decent hifi) with "Tell the Truth". "Drop In The Bucket" is possibly better. I can't decide. Oh sh*te that's 2 then, and doesn't deserve to be on this thread."I'll get my coat" (Non-UK readers put "The Fast Show" into Google for that one...)

First time I heard Showtime on the radio, I thought my prayers had been answered and Van HALEN was back together.

Still think it's a kickass song. Also the title track and Sensible Shoes for the bluesy side.

i know i should be picking just one song, cos the thread says "favorite song" but heck, almost all the guys broke the rule and reeled off 3 faves..Mine are: ALAE, Baby's on Fire, and Drop in the Bucket in that order..
Music is like girlfriends to me; I'm constantly amazed at the choices other dudes make----DLR
