                in the first video i think, jimi plays "sunshine of your love" but it cuts off

                  yeah, Jimi played 'Sunshine Of Your Love' on a BBC show and he wasn't meant to. It was pretty funny because it caused chaos backstage, with the scheduling going wrong and producers were going crazy, so they had to cut him off.

                    That is strange....I posted about this last night and my post has disappeared....

                    Yes, it was "The Lulu Show". Every week, Lulu was supposed to do a duet with the featured musical guest. In this case, she was supposed to do a duet of "Hey Joe" right after Purple Haze.....but Jimi did not want to do it.

                    He said something like "Hey we want to stop playing this rubbish and do a song by the band Cream...." and then they launched into the song. After a few bars of it, you can hear Jimi say something like "Wow it seems like we are getting put off the air!", as the producers were so pissed off they started rolling the credits soon after he started playing the song....

                    Mitch Mitchell tells the story in an inteview that has been on VH-1 before.
