What the name of that instrumental from the "1984" sessions was? I've seen it under several different names, own it of course, but I had to download it in order to get it...was it ever given an official name?

"1984" was Eddie's improvised keyboard introduction to "Jump." It was originally over 30 minutes long and titled by Valerie Bertinelli."
all the info I know. That help?
"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"
Actually no - I was meaning the unreleased instrumental that's floating around.
There's no name, it's just a big long jam. I take it you're talking about the thing that's close to 24 minutes long.

Well, honestly, I'm not sure...what I have I downloaded off of winMX or Kazaa or something...it's about 6 minutes only though, was titled "Untitled Unreleased 1984 Instrumental" on the list; I downloaded it and the guitar and drum sound is the same as the 1984 sound, and I haven't heard it anywhere else; maybe it's a chopped version of what you're talking about? I can't say for certain.Originally posted by Lou

maybe you are thinking of the instrumental they did for Twister? I dunno. I know 1984 was originally 30 mins long... Oh, Respect the Wind...? that it?
other than that, the file could have been labeled wrong.

No, nothing from Twister, but I definately know it's Van Halen; no mistaking the 1984 sound. Wish there was some way I could upload it here...Originally posted by Big Troubles

I think It's "Fresh"....
i downloaded it from WinMX "Unreleased DLR 1984 Demo "Fresh"..something like that..
My guess..
"With a rate of fire of over 20 rounds per second, the IMI Micro Uzi is almost as fast as Yngwie Malmsteen, and 25.4 times more musical"
Worst of all... It's true..
i don't know
Hmmm I would not mind having this.....
"Fresh," for the umpteenth time, is a FAKE.
LOU is right. It's a pretty good forgery.Originally posted by Lou

But LOU, must you add "for the umpteenth time", you sack of shit? Seriously...this is a DLR resource site. If everyone had your attitude, nobody would ask any questions because only the total experts would know.
Why don't you go suck up a bus, you fucking cunt?

Oh, alright...
YES, it was "Fresh" that I downloaded - just downloaded a song called "Fresh" and it's the same thing I already had, so that settles it.
Holy shit, though...fuck, that's a GOOD forgery - they definitely nailed the 1984 sound to a "T"...who is it, any idea on that?
Sorry if I pissed on your shoes, Lou
The 1984 intro was about 30 min. but no copy has ever been circulated. I think you may mean Ripley. It was an instrumental Ed played on his Kramer Ripley guitar which had six seperate pan pots for each string sending out put to all your speakers, or some shit like that. I think that might be the one. I have a boot called the Dawn of 5150. I have to dig it up and take another listen. i think this eventually becam Right Now. I'll check back and debunk later.
When the shit hits the fan, close your mouth and duck.
