I rarely ever see anyone discuss RATT around here, and in my opinion Warren DiMartini is one hell of a guitarist. If you were to make a 20 song compilation CD that best represents the band, which songs would you pick?
Just looking for ideas...

I'd probably just pop Ratt & Roll 81-91 in.
DLR7884
It's not 20 songs though, only 19.

Yeah I got that one...but it's lacking some of the good songs from the earlier CDs and has a few I wouldn't mind omitting. I'm probably answering my own question here. Was just wanting to get various ideas just to see what other songs people liked by RATT>
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...
Yeah, too much shit from "Detonator".
Not enough from "Invasion of your privacy".
Otherwise all the classics are there, more or less.

Sitting on a park bench!
You're right. I'm also a fan of the "Dancing Undercover" album.

Why does "Detonator" suck so much?
It's just not traditional RATT to me.
Yeah, "Loving you is a dirty job" is the biggest culprit.
And getting Jon Bon Jovi to guest on your LP is a real step in the wrong direction.
Desmond child also has a co-write on every track.
It all adds up to a disappointing album.
Pity, `cos I thought "Nobody rides for free", the one new song on "Ratt n roll 81-91", rocked.
What song did JBJ guest on? I have the Detonator cassette and haven't listened to it in years...
I thought that song rocked too. It was the last song on the movie "Point Break" with Keanu Reeves & Swayze. Cool song for the outro in that flick.Originally posted by Mr Badguy

My two faves:
"Out of the cellar"
"Dancing undercover"
I remember "Dancing undercover" got real shit reviews when it came out, but I think it`s second only to "OOTC" when it comes to Ratt.
There are some good tunes on there.
I like "Invasion of your privacy" a lot as well, but it`s patchier, especially on side two.
I really liked Dancing Undercover also. It got ripped, and wasn't a fan of Body Talk.
Should have subbed "Slip of the Lip" for "Don't Bite The Hand That Feeds You" on my list..
"Drive Me Crazy" & "Body Talk" both irk the shit out of me.
