From your junk pile collection, I can tell you collect more than you play which would explain why your mismatch hasn't broken down yet.
Outputs blow from thermal breakdown, thats the clear enamel insulation of the magnet wire wrapping insided. When it gets too hot, it melts and makes contact with the silica steel laminations of the core.
In other words, you haven't played long enough or loud enough with that hack wire job to melt the core. But you do need to address that nest with a rewiring before you do have problems.
I've melted amps, you haven't, my experience and you lack of all explained in one post.
the example shows the proper circuit, tap in either red wire: pos speaker terminal to pos jack, neg speaker terminal to neg jack.
