    Joe Perry's Solo Album

I actually expect it to be good, as he hates Aerosmith Power Ballads and is a shit-hot Geetarist!

That old "Joe Perry Project" record was ok.

"Let the music do the talking" is a rawkin' song.

I really like the JOE PERRY's original solo album (the first one). I have it on CD and was just listening to it the other day. It has all the elements of 70s Aerosmith...great riffs and guitars, no ballads...typical punky vocals. The only thing I don't like on the album is the vocalist he uses for half the songs...too cheesy-sounding. But besides that, the album is very good. It sounds like he was holding back material from Aerosmith.

hopefully it will be just a pure rock and roll album. maybe more on the blues side. im sure he must have some stuff he wanted to use but never got to use it cause of songs like cryin and angel.

As long as its a cross between 70's Aerosmith and some of the bluesy numbers on Honkin it has the potential to be one hell of an album

I actually own a Joe Perry Project concert shirt. Maybe I shouldn't admit that. I saw him open up (co-headline, if you will) for Foghat. Maybe I shouldn't admit that either. Actually, I liked the first album, bought the second and didn't like that all too much.

Yeah, I thought so. It was quite a while ago, but I had a good time and I wasn't drunk or high.....

When I first read this thread, I was thinking of STEVE PERRY and said WTF?

I'm looking forward to listening to the new solo album by Joe Perry speaking as an old Aerosmith fan since I can predict it'll be better than 99% of the crap by today's artists.
