Van Halen and David Lee Roth Feature On New Headbangers Bible Compilation

I got an e-mail through today promoting a new 3 cd Rock Compilation. Some of the bands on there include Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Motorhead, UFO, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath etc.

Its nice to see Dave's solo work getting some recognition, included on here are Just Like Paradise and Yankee Rose. Panama and Jump are the Van Halen tunes.

Heres what 101cd.com had to say about this:

"This is THE definitive Headbangers album. Forty classic rockers guaranteed to get your head banging more than an Odeon full of Motorhead fans! Thanks to the Darkness, a whole new generation of kids are discovering amazing songs by rock bands like Van Halen, Foreigner, Thin Lizzy, Poison and Alice Cooper to name but a few. Included on this 3 CD set are modern classics such as: The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love – glam metal glory for the new generation, Black Sabbath – Paranoid – the mother and father of all metal, Motorhead – The Ace Of Spades – this track needs no introduction, and Alice Cooper – Schools Out – but don't worry, no snakes were harmed in the recording of this song. These tunes rock as hard with today’s new headbangers as they did the day they were released, so crank it up to one louder than ten to annoy the neighbours and BANG YER ‘EAD!"

Swish, but why do the Darkness have to exist?

Since when is Yes a "metal" band, by any exaggeration of the term?

Though the 4 Roth to 1 Hagar ratio is about right. Even though I still like the Montrose album.
