      Ten I couldn`t live without:

      Diamond Head "The white album"
      Judas Priest "British steel"
AC/DC "For those about to rock (we salute you)"
      Vain "No respect"
Iron Maiden "Seventh son of a seventh son"
      Black Sabbath "Heaven and hell"
      Led Zeppelin "Physical graffiti"
      Rush "Signals"
      Pink Floyd "The Wall"
      Queensryche "Promised land"

No live albums or compilations (that`s cheating).

I've never understood the appeal of Pet Sounds. I've bought it three times now, only to return it each time after it a listen.

Doesn't feel like a "grower", either. The lyrics just don't come across for me.

Damn, that's REALLY hard... ok, off the top of my head. <--- What does that mean, by the way?

              1. Manowar - Kings of Metal. Ok, this is DEFINITELY number 1... I think. Manowar is first, but I'm not sure about the album. Hell, I'll take this one. Now, in no particular order:

              2. John Lee Hooker - Boom Boom. Great tracks in this one. I actually skip the title track most of the times, I'm pretty sick of it by now. Still a classic, though.

              3. Antonin Dvórak's Symphony no. 9 in E minor, "From the New World". I couldn't skip classical, and it came down between this and Beethoven's ninth. Dvórak it is, then.

              4. Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark. I still prefer this one over 'Number of the Beast'. Maybe because it was the first real Metal I've listened to? I stopped listening to Guns n' Roses after this.

              5. Van Halen I - After careful consideration, I decided I couldn't live without Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love. Ice Cream Man and You Really Got Me would help, too.

              6. David Lee Roth - Eat 'Em And Smile. Yankee Rose... 'nuff said.

              7. Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame. This may just be the best Rhapsody album to date. Near perfect balance between aggressive heavy riffs and symphonic melodies. However, they tend to get better with each album, and they are about to release a new one, that one may be it...

              8. Absu - The Sun of Tiphareth - I REALLY wouldn't be caught in a deserted island without a true Black Metal album... and Absu are the best and purest I've listened to so far.

              9. Bruce Springsteen - The Ghost of Tom Joad. It seems noone can make an 'intimate' album like the Boss. I truly enjoy this one and Nebraska. However, this one was professionally produced, so it has an obviously better sound. It also has Youngstown.

              10. I'm gonna cheat a bit on this one. Bob Seger - Nine Tonight. It's the best live album I've ever listened to. I think I've listened to this album more times than any other in my entire music collection - and that may very well be over 300, ladies and gentlemen.

It's still a very lacking list, however... I couldn't even squeeze AC/DC in there. Nor Black Sabbath or Deep Purple. Damn!

              Cheers! :bottle:

                1. Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys: My favorite album of all-time and probably the one that I would choose if I had to pick just one.

                2. Revolver - The Beatles: The 2nd best album of 1966.

                3. Today! - The Beach Boys: How can you go wrong with an album that has a 2nd side like this one?

                4. Beatles - Rubber Soul: Beep, beep, beep, beep, yeah!

                5. Van Halen - 1984: Hot For Teacher makes this my pick of Van Halen over Fair Warning, although Fair Warning is a better album.

                6. Lennon Legend - John Lennon: The only greatest hits album I would take. I wanted his 1980's hits too.

                7. The Joshua Tree - U2: Just for cut #1. My favorite U2 song of all-time.

                8. Live At Leeds - The Who: Greatest live album ever. Greatest live band ever.

                9. Stone Temple Pilots - Purple: One of the great unsung bands of the 90's.

                10. DLR Band: Not necessarily Dave at his best, but Dave at his most raw. Love it.
