Apparently Joe Pesci improvised that whole scene.

I saw Scorsese say that Pesci was scarier in real life than Tommy.

            He seemed deadly serious...

I had read there was a sequel of sorts in the making, with Scorcese on board.

It was going to be through the eyes of Hill's kids...

This fucker always calls Stern drunk off his ass. It's funny how at the end of Goodfellas, it says he's been sober since 87.

I think the best scene is when DeNiro is telling Karen to go "pick out a dress" and is trying to get her to go into the ally.

His facial expressions and hand gestures crack me up. He's the best.

BINGO! And that whole bit where she's asking henry why he issn't smiling or talking...also COMPLETELY improvised.

if you look at pesci's face when she launches into it, oyu can see him shoot a glance at DeNiro (and DeNiro right back at Pesci) of, "Oh, God...here she goes again."

She apparently refused to NOT improvise. As if Scorscese was going to tell his own mother to shut up!
