"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

An alleged quote from Norman Thomas, six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate and one of the founders of the ACLU.

For the past couple of months I've been listening to the Democratic candidates running for their party's presidential nomination and hearing them spout the rhetoric of socialism lite. Howard Dean was the nearest thing to an unabashed Marxist, a fact that probably did him in because his party and their allies in the ultra liberal-mainstream media prefer to hear socialism couched in milder terms so the public won't recognize the voice of Karl Marx preaching his ultimately murderous doctrine.

So Howard's gone back to Vermont, and the party that not long ago seemed his for the asking is now once again coasting along more comfortably on socialism lite. But the strident voice of the old father of such lethal aberrations as Communism, German National Socialism, and Arabic Ba'athism has not been silenced. I heard it loud and clear as I listened to Ralph Nader announce he's running for president.

Make no mistake about it - Nader's rhetoric is right out of the Marxist playbook - he sounds like Lenin and his American acolytes when they castigated the evils of capitalism. "Workers of the world unite - you have nothing to lose but your chains!"

Now the members of the National Socialist Democrat Abortion Party (NSDAP) are wringing their hands in pretended dismay over the possibility that a Nader candidacy might once again cost them an election as it allegedly did in 2000. They moan and groan but you can bet they are secretly delighted to have the old rabble rouser out there stirring up the disaffected Deaniacs and the rest of the lunatic left.

Look, things are different this year. Nader hasn't got the wackos in the Green party embracing his candidacy - a fact that deprives him of a ballot position in about 40 states. If he's lucky he'll be able to find a place on the ballots in a mere handful of states. In short, he is no threat at all to the NSDAP (I mean the National Socialist Democrat Abortion Party, not that other NSDAP - Die Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, better known as the Nazis).

So while the NSDAPers weep their crocodile tears, they are secretly delighted to have the decrepit old lefty out there preaching the tenets of Das Kapital - he's so far out that he makes the NSDAP look moderate and it takes the edge off their concealed socialist agenda.

Do you doubt that the NSDAP is really a Marxist cabal? The last time I looked about 50 House Democrats, including top members of the NSDAP House leadership belonged to the so-called Progressive Caucus, a motley bunch not so covertly allied with the Democratic Socialists of America which calls for among other socialist programs "Economic Redistribution," which means they take money from people they don't think should enjoy the fruits of their labor or investment and give it to people they can dole it out to and thus make them dependent forever on Big Brother for their daily bread.

According to the Democratic Socialists of America, an arm of the World Socialist movement "Since 1982, DSA has been working for progressive change. As a national organization, DSA joins with its allies in Congress' Progressive Caucus and in many other progressive organizations, fighting for the interests of the average citizen both in legislative struggles and in other campaigns to educate the public on progressive issues and to secure progressive access to the media."

At their convention in Detroit last November DSA noted that "while DSA members are working for various Democratic candidates (especially Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich), the general consensus was that our organizational priority must be supporting any reasonable candidate against Bush, while at the same time helping to build a broad progressive coalition that can pressure the next president to address our issues."

At that convention, DSA bragged that "plenary sessions at the convention featured an exceptional number of elected officials, including Congressman John Conyers (D-MI), [and] former Congressman David Bonior."

What does the DSA believe? According to the Greater Detroit DSA local : "We believe that everyone has a right to . . .

Affordable quality health care, quality education, food and shelter, and childcare;
A full-time job at a living wage;
Living-level disability and retirement income (Social Security);
Meaningful participation in public affairs and politics;
Meaningful participation in workplace decisions; and
A healthy, clean environment
Who determines "Meaningful" from "Non-meaningful"?
. . . regardless of income, education, gender, race, or sexual orientation."

Which part of the Constitution covers any of this???

Sound familiar? It should - it's the platform of John Kerry and John Edwards and the whole NSDAP who adopt the statist policies of Karl Marx to create their socialist Utopia.

Back in the days when I was engaged in some minor spookery I was instructed that underground Communists were told to identify each other by referring to themselves as "progressive" which is how NSDAP members today identify themselves - they think it sounds better than "liberal," which has become a pejorative.

If the American people want to take a journey through the arid desert of socialism where the whited bones of socialist nation after socialist nation rest, they'll vote for the NSDAP candidate for the presidency in November. They'll have nothing to lose but their freedom.
