I know Dave states briefly in his book about that famous 1996 limo ride to the mtv awards. Dave in that limo is like a person being fed to the sharks!! I wonder what the four were saying and thinking that whole ride??(besides eddie whining about missing his kid first day of school)

Ya know, even if they WERE to have a Reunion Tour with Dave, I am not sure I would even go.

Back in the days B.S. (Before Spammy), they were like lightning in a bottle. They were out to blow everyone away. No holds barred, take no prisoners.

If they were to do a reunion tour now, it would be strictly for a cash grab.
Not only that, even if they did book a tour, it would be a complete and utter miracle if they even made it to the opening night without The Sisterz FUCKING EVERYTHING UP!

With Dave they were great!

With Spammy they became lame.

Then with Gary Cherone, they sucked total donkey balls.

Betcha that limo ride was part 1 a wake-up call to Dave, shaking him out of his own denial throughout that summer that the Van Halens weren't bullshitting him about having a future with the band beyond the greatest hits tracks. Part 2 was the limo ride back to the hotel from the MVAs. By then he came to the realization that he was gonna get fucked over in terms of touring with the band in 1996/1997.

Point??? The truth of the matter is that Sammy is a better performer/singer. Yes the Roth era tunes do kick ass (for their time) however Sammy era stuff is also up there in terms of quality. Like CLV, some Sammy era songs suck (i.e AFU) however the same can be said for CLV (ever listen to Diver Down and you will see my point)!!

Dude...easy...poor promotion...two poor singles..a "best of album"....guarantee if they had just come out with no album, promoted the sucker and they would have rocked...for the record, damn near a sell out in Vancouver...the place was rocking and the crowd loving it........a hell of a show...who gives a fuck what happened at some shows...the point being is that these guys rocked....you rothtards are all pissed at eddie cause he dumped that piece of shit lead singer who can no longer sing....granted, i was a big DLR fan in the day but he doesnt hold a candle to sammy......Happy Trails??
