I'd like to upload these here. It's only three songs total, and I redid the rip with the higher compression MP3 format.

And I meant off FAIRWARNING, not FAIRWARNG LOL!

P.S. Does anyone know if this made it into a complete bootleg or is it just the three songs?

Well, since you asked pretty much the same question last time, I'll just re-copy the links...

This was my originial thread on it...

        And here was round 2...

Thanks BEACH! Sorry aboot the retread. I actually did answer my own question by going over to www.vhboots.com I guess there is a second incomplete bootleg of the second night since Oakland was a two-night stand, apparently done on June 11th (the Three Videos) and June 12, which was also a high quality sound recording, leading me to believe that there may be TWO UNREALEASED Oakland shows that were meant to be combined!

In any case I PMed SARGE about getting these three up here. I made a better quality rip than what I posted at Guitars101. And these tracks sound great on CD.

                OOPS!:p Sorry 'bout that man.

"Unchained" is great, but I think "Hear About it Later" is a little greater. Maybe because that's the first video I saw by Van Halen. I remember it being played on MTV in regular circulation, along with "Unchained," around the release of Diver Down and they still played it during the 1984 peek and glory of Van Halen's tour!

I like the brownsound on that one and the way it shoots from the melodic intro to the grinding, slow guitar driven riff.

BTW, does VH-1 Classic still play these live videos? I know I've seen the Diver Down and 1984 vid's as well as Dave's solo stuff. But I don't watch regularly anymore.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the other two vid are no slouches either....

But that version of Unchained, as compared to later versions on the DD and 1984 tours, when they sped it up and make it sound much worse IMO, really shows what kind of energy they had at that point in time...

I don't watch VH-1 classic too much, but when I have, I haven't seen too many VH vids....
