What's ahead for Dave in 2005?

Pretty soon it'll be ten years since the 1996 debacle.

Probably the project Roth undertook since then that I dug the best was his autobiography. Maybe a toss-up between that, the DLR band album and the No-Holds-Bar-B-Que vid.

Think it's time for Roth to put out a Part 2, or continuation (whatever you wanna call it) to CRAZY FROM THE HEAT, follow it up with another full-length CD of slamming, big rock originals and then time for another long form, concept video (still not sure what the concept behind the BBQ was, but still dig watching it and trying to figure it out).

Hosting a talk show, mentioned on another thread here, is also definitely something seemingly right up Dave's alley. The man was born to entertain. Let's hope the EMT training and relative silence from him in 2004 aren't signalling a quiet period.

I say he should stay away from the DJ shit...not that he wouldn't be good at it, but I can't see Dave getting into a routine job like that.

DLoc hit the nail on the head...fuck the book...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

The book delivers the legend to the readers.

David Lee Roth is an excellent, original and intelligent DJ.

              An album would be great.

              Maybe a few paintings.

Whatever the man does, it will be art.

Call me crazy, but the EMT and DJ deals don't bode well for any quality creative output.

I'm still trying to figure out if he's disillusioned with shit, or busting out a smokescreen.

The 'Diamond Dave' record, IMO, was just something he wanted to do. The Magna Carta label specializes in that kind of thing....He should have put it out on Norton to really drive the point home.

The VH reunion thing has been beaten to death.

If Dave wanted to do some supagroup comeback deal, there would be no shortage of folks willing to sign on...musician-wise.

Crazy From The Heat II would be fantastic, and I'd like nothing more than to see something like that drip out of the perverbial faucet.

                Guess what?

That shit ain't gonna happen if he's rolling around in ambulances and doing guest DJ spots. Nothing says "I could give a fuck less" than shit like that.

                Guess what again?

It might be a huge smokescreen.

This EMT thing really confuses me as well:
Is he trying to make the world a better place?
                    Is it a smokescreen?
Was he ordered to perform 100 hours of community service?

Nah… give it up and take the DLR band to Sweden Rock Festival
and blast fat spammy and his Burritos off stage
