"1984" On I Love The 80's Strikes Back.

Has anyone else seen this or can someone post this on the board. A lot of people gave props to Van Halen when they talked about them. If anybody has this please post it.

I saw that. It's too bad that no one says good things like that about them anymore. Hagar ruined it all. If Van Halen had ended after Dave left they would have been remembered as the great band that they are instead of a sheepfest.

^very true, very true. Just imagine, not this existing: "Oh tell me why can't this be love..etc. etc. and all that mushy love crap"? All there was was the almighty Classic Van Halen, what a great world would that have been? I saw that episode, it was cool. Everybody loved Van Halen!

"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."

What's not to love about Van Halen?

The two dominate positions in the band (lead vocalist and lead guitarist) were filled by two of the alltime BEST in their primes!!
Without DLR in the lineup, Van Halen is merely Rat Salade...
